Ingredients for 6 Servings

  • 1 tbsp
    Olive oil
  • 8 oz
    Mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp
  • 1/2
    Onion, diced
  • 1 clove
    Garlic, minced
  • 1 lb
    Ground beef, 80/20
  • 3 tbs
  • 1 tsp
  • 4 1/2 cups
    Beef broth
  • 4 cups
    Egg noodles, dry
  • 1 tbsp
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup
    Sour cream

  1. Heat olive oil in a stockpot on medium heat. Add mushrooms, and coo until soft and edges begin to brown. Remove from stockpot and set aside.
  2. Add butter to stockpot and melt over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until slightly browned and fragrant, 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. In a small bowl, combine flour and paprika. Add to ground beef mixture and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Pour ½ cup of the beef broth into the pan and scrape the bottom to remove the browned bits, then add the additional 4 cups of beef broth. Bring to a boil and add egg noodles. Cook for 5-7 minutes until egg noodles are tender. Add Worcestershire sauce and sour cream and stir to combine.
